ABOUT ME

This photo was captured in 2011 en route to Rara. @kalpabrikshya.
Hello, and welcome to my blog! My name is Krishna, a name rooted in the Sanskrit word 'Krishn,' meaning 'black' or 'dark,' and I am named after the revered Hindu deity. I proudly embrace a vegan lifestyle and am originally from Nepal. My academic journey is diverse, covering public policy, anthropology, law, and tourism. I hold a Bachelor's in Law (LLB), BSc in Physics, and BA in Sociology/Anthropology and English from Tribhuvan University in Nepal. I furthered my education with Master's degrees in Anthropology (MA) and Public Administration (MPA) from the same institution, followed by a Master's in Public Policy (MPP) from the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy in Germany, where I also honed my German language skills and later added Spanish to my linguistic abilities. In addition to my qualifications from Nepal, I hold a Diploma in Law from LPAB/LEC, University of Sydney, and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (GDLP) from the College of Law Australia. This makes me a dual-qualified lawyer from both Nepal and Australia. Professionally, I have been deeply involved in Nepal's recovery and development efforts, particularly post the 2015 earthquake. I was part of a fundraising initiative that raised over 100,000 Euros, which funded the construction of a school in Gurkha among other relief efforts. I am the founder of the Community Development Plan, aimed at improving community life in Nepal, and a founding member of the Clinical Lawyer's Associate and Legal Research Center in Nepal. Additionally, I have over a decade of experience as a tour and trekking guide, offering enriching experiences to international travelers.
Currently, I am based in Sydney, Australia, where I work as an immigration and family lawyer. On this blog, I delve into topics ranging from travel and culture to global politics. I welcome your thoughts, comments, and critiques, as they enrich our shared journey. My unique background allows me to offer distinct insights, whether discussing policy, navigating the legal systems of Australia, or guiding adventures through Nepal's landscapes. I aim to use this platform to foster understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures and lifestyles. Thank you for joining me on this exploration! Namaste!
